Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Making Dental Care More Accessible for Canadians

At Suncity Dental Care, we proudly welcome patients covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Our team is committed to helping eligible individuals understand their benefits and receive necessary dental treatment without financial stress.

Dental care should not be out of reach due to cost or lack of insurance. The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal government initiative created to support Canadians who need essential oral health care but do not have private dental coverage. For many patients, CDCP significantly reduces out-of-pocket expenses and makes routine and restorative dental care more affordable.

What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federally funded program designed to help eligible Canadian residents access dental services when private dental insurance is not available.

The program contributes toward the cost of a wide range of dental treatments based on medical necessity, income level, and eligibility. Payments are made directly to participating dental providers, helping patients receive care without managing complex claims or paperwork.

Who Qualifies for CDCP?

To be eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, all of the following conditions must be met:

1. No Dental Insurance Access

You must not have current private dental insurance or coverage through:

  • Employer benefits
  • Pension plans
  • Professional plans
  • Student plans

2. Tax Filing Requirement

You (and your spouse or common-law partner) must have filed a Canadian tax return for the previous year so your income can be assessed

How CDCP Coverage Works?
